Porsha Thomas writes cooking, writing, indulging.

I named this newsletter for the things that bring anticipatory smiles to my face:

  • Mad sciencing it up in my kitchen, seeing which of the ingredients I have on hand will go together and taste delicious.

  • Wrapping up a piece I've written I’m feeling pretty fucking good about.

  • Little treats – like the joy of a post-facial glow or me and a bestie throwing on our "flowy clothes" to go eat our way through a restaurant menu.

If you’re here, then you’re down to come with.

Why am I writing this?

Kind of just felt like being myself on the internet. Usually, when I create something, it's as something - GOWRKGRLS, clients, agencies – now I'm scratching the itch to write/create content for me. A day in the life of a creative woman on a mission to make good trouble, if you will.

About me…

I'm on Earth to rally HBICs so we can run things.

Since 2007, I've created business and lifestyle content for millennial women while hooking startups, SMBs, and corporate brands up with copy + content strategy. I run GOWRKGRLS, where I tell stories from a modern feminist lens. I started my company in 2014 (at the time Ladypreneur League) as an online hub for entrepreneurial women. I created business development digital content, partnering with brands like Skillshare, Shopify, and Mailchimp. In 2022, I took a break from creating to clear the way for what I wanted to do next – make content that champions equality and autonomy for women. The first project I'm launching under this new focus is Feminist Supper Club, a podcast serving up devour-able conversations for liberated women. If you're subscribed to cooking, writing, indulging, you'll be the first to know when!
